Success!
7.5gr of Lil Gun sitting under a 180gr Sierra RN, flat base bullet at 1.800" COAL got me ~1000 fps:)
Only issue I have now is figuring out how to run more than 5 at a time from a mag. CProducts 5.56 or 5.45 mags and a 5.56 PMAG cause the rounds to nose into the bottom of the chamber if loaded past 5 and in some cases with only 1 round loaded. Thinking the soft point may to blame. I'll try to get ahold of some FMJs and run it down. Either way, I loaded up another 30 to verify stability and will be putting the suppressor on if I remain keyhole free like I did with the 4 test rounds today.
Thanks to all who helped me with this endeavor.

Day 2 with Whisper reloads:
Bumped it up to 7.6 gr of Lil Gun under a Sierra 180 gr RN flat base bullet and after 15 showed no signs of key holing at 25m I put the can on. Spooky quiet as an average velocity of 1020fps was registered with a string of 15 more rounds. Think I'll probably bump it back to 7.5 gr when it warms up since the suppressor seemed to trim the ES down and I'd rather be a little slower than risk a round going supersonic. Also figure this will be a fairly low risk endeavor since the loads down to 5.5 gr of Lil Gun still showed stability on the 3m target yesterday.
Giggle factor was high as the 180 gr pill from the HMC upper with 762-SDN6 was as quiet to the ear as a Ruger MKIII 22/45 sporting a can and Fedral bulk pack 36 gr HPs.

Eric Eric, Don't know if this will help or not -- I had the same problem and went to Pmags and cut the follower back and added a filler with a guide ramp. When you take the Pmag apart you will notice the follower is shaped like a block with an extended section to fill in the front part. I just cut off the front part and made the filler. I used a piece of steel for the filler so I guess I made it a little harder but the front of the mag is tapered inside so I had to match that. I had to angle the top of the steel piece to act as the ramp. I first epoxied the piece in place but after a lot of use it came loose. I left the epoxy and added a few drops of super glue and it's in solid now. The rounds in the picture are using 155gr Sierra Palma Match but I have done 180gr bullets. I'm not sure exactly how many rounds can be loaded -- it's been a while since I shot this setup. There are six rounds in the magazine now and they feed just fine.

Good idea 22! I've had good luck with 7.62x39 mags also because they don't have the big dimples for the smaller bullets. I don't know how many I've loaded in them tho.

Thanks, I'll give a 7.62 mag a try and mess with modifying a PMAG if all else fails.
