One thing I wanted to do was test the XCatch on a stock mag set up and I did that yesterday. Function was 100% with the Job1 catch. I'm going to make a run of them with a different bevel and verify that they also work on stock lowers / mags without interfering with the operation. That eliminates the need to change catches out on your "adapter lower" if you want to go stock mags. I put the Red Dot on the 30C upper and my 50yd steel plates got worked over pretty good yesterday using the Hornady 110 SJ loads. ;D I'm going to load up a batch using the new Speer 110gr HP Varminters and see what they chrono out at. We are going to bevel the batch of adapters we have on the bench and get them anodized this week. I am going to make a run of the XCatches and figure a price out for them as well as 30 round modified magazines. Mags from different vendors are all made differently. I like the 30 rounders I picked up and will see if I can get a batch of them put together. I would say the Order Desk is open!

What length gas system are you using on the barrel? I was figuring, except in the case where I use a carbine magazine for Tok rounds with long bullets, it would make sense to buy the magblock, Xcatch and a carbine barrel chambered in 30 carbine as one type of package. Maybe an M4 configuration on the barrel and a flash hider. Got any idea as to what a package like that might run?

I'm running a pistol length system on the carbine. We made up some XCatches yesterday but think I will make a few more from stainless and leave them uncoated so we can tell the difference. Working on package pricing.

Working on package pricing. Sounds good! Maybe I can talk the grandchildren in getting me something cool for Christmas -- instead of ties.

Adapters are anodized and cleaned up ready for assembly. Got XCatches assembled yesterday and will do fitting on them today. Need to do something for a finish so will check into options.

Got any pictures of the adapters? What is the final price. I don't know why I'm asking about the price -- with Christmas and a bunch of grandchildren I'm broke.

Don't forget we need new tires...... Had a chance to look at a Universal M1 Carbine this weekend and look at the mag release set up. Don't know if I can mod our adapter to it or not but going to check it out. I got this 30 rounder from Brownells and it did not give a brand name. Works better than the 15 rounders and seems to be made a bit nicer. Adapters are $140 and the XCatches are $8

Got the M1 Carbine system out yesterday to do some adapter proofing and general shooting. I burned up all the factory ammo so all I had was the 110gr SJ reloads. These are half jacket plinking Hornady bullets with a long soft nose. The soft lead would catch on any edge what so ever so going to smooth things out a bit on the mags, adapters, and barrel extension. Going to load up some of the 110gr Varminters that I used in the x39 and see how they do.

Loaded up some 110gr Sierra HP to 1.680" oal. Bullets are a bit long and need to be seated deep to get OAL to fit mags. Using 11.6gr of 2400 at 99%+ case capacity. A rounder bullet would allow a bit more powder. We'll see.... should hit close to 2000 fps.

Just got some of the inexpensive Korean 30 round mags in for testing. Seem to be working ok with factory loads. 1:10 twists not the best and the heavy bullets really need to be seated deep to fit the mags. Have some Sierra Varminters I want to test and see what kinds of groups we get.
