Set up a 10" Tok pistol set of for testing with the new Gen2 mags. Feeding was 100% for the testing I managed to get in. As with the M1 Carbine test, all I had was surplus crap and had multiple failures to fire with light primer strikes. I was using a New Frontier lower with all plastic parts including the hammer. I went to change out the buffer set up and the rear takedown pin got stuck 1/4 of the way out. I helped it out with a punch and bye bye pin..... Which just added to the attitude..... WE'll get a real lower for next test On the bright side, the mag fed 100% for the on/off testing cycle

Mag test #2 went well today. All I had was one box of surplus, but it fed well out of 3 different mag set ups. Looks like we have a viable Tokarev mag set up. Still haven't found my reloading dies. Def need to get a bunch loaded up.

Wow, long time, no post.... Got new Lee dies (only available) and as you may have read on other posts, brass is short and sizing knock shoulder back a bit also compared with my old set. I'm either going to send these back or hit them with a spot of weld and add at least .005", maybe more. Been cutting Tok chambers short anyway, but this is getting redonkulus….. As fate would have it, got 3 Tok uppers on the bench right now, one build and 2 customers that are having issues. Gives a great comparison for the mag work. Got 3 different mag profiles for testing so now I just need more time..... and ammo.....

Live fire on the two Tok mag set ups yesterday. Both ran ok with Mag 1 having fewer issues, depending on what upper we were using. I'm going to tweak the geometry a bit and see if we can make it better for the Tokarev rounds. We are applying the same process to the TCM, just haven't live fired that as much yet.

Pulled an almost all nightery and built 3 more new mags with different geometry. Taking notes and measuring which ones operate the best. Got quote from machine shop for parts and way too expensive so need to re-think outsourcing...

Tested new Gen mags and fed 100%. Problem now is time.... New mags look great and the bolt hold open is a real nice addition. Need to do some follower work and then find a spring source for the followers. H

Tested the new Gen Tok SP mags and feed and function was 100%! I sure like the BHO feature. Ran out of ammo in a hurry...… We are trying to set up production up at the main shop so we can make these more readily available.

Another round of testing on the new Tok Mag set ups. Mags are working much better and we are going to make a follower updated and see if it helps things out!

No time to update the followers yet, so we'll try and make that happen when we get back....

Ran about 100 rounds of Tok through 4 different mag set ups with various bullet types and I am pleased to say that the new followers are the best yet. I didn't have any 86 gr FMJ bullets, but the 110gr FN were loaded to 1.38" and fed fine. Other rounds tested were the "Moscow Match" 147gr BTFMJ loads. I'll go over my notes and see if I can sched some machine time to get some mags made up.

Tim
Been awhile since I've stopped by here, but the headway on the mag adapters looks great.
Much more of a solution than my 30rd PMAG with the front leg cut off the follower that allows ~17rds of 147gr subs to feed properly, haha.
Looking forward to any finished products as I'd be interested in a few followers for 10, 20, or 30rd mags that allow for the 150gr+ subs to be run in AR mags reliably with just a follower swap.
