Anybody using a mag adapter yet? I'm using one that's borrowed from Ron and it seems to be doing ok with the one mag I've been using.

Yes, I do, and working hard on getting production versions out. We have a couple field testers with FTF issues and we want to make any adjustments required before we get these out. I am testing 3 variations and last night V3 was feeding close to 100%. That's better than my 7.62x39 has ever dreamed of Today I am tweaking the program again and will do some testing tonight on feed ramp height, slope, and mag interface. Plus the B.S. (that's Big Surprise.....)

As soon as I get an upper put together I will test it every weekend.

ok, its 10:26 pm on a Wed night when most people are out shooting pool or drinkin beer or a combination of the two and I'm sitting here with digital calipers, a box of Russian Tok mags, my desk looks like an explosion at the Colt factory, and the machine in the corner is throwing aluminum chips all over God's creation. What's wrong with those people shooting pool?

I'll take the beer and aluminum chips over pool.
Keep up the hard work.

Well, we are now able to live fire our adapters to fully test function ;D We were using a non functional stub and manually cycling the action with dummy rounds and sending the adapters out to field testers and waiting for feedback. Those days are over! Live fired handloads this weekend as our surplus ammo has not arrived yet. We are fine tuning the gas system and manually things are running smooth. We made a change to the feed ramps and are busy getting stock cut so we can get them out to anodizer. We have some barrel blanks, but are low on extensions so we'll see what happens when we put our adjustable gas block on this Mad Russian!

OK Folks, production is on for adapters. We made a change to the feed ramps and cleaned up a couple lines for fit and finish. I've been running the new design and it feeds great. The mag release has been tweaked a bit for the range of mag sizes. Compiling data on mag sizes from our batch, and working on a jig to cut slots for the AR mag catch for the Flush Mount mag adapters. As soon as this batch is done, its off to the anodizer and your emails will go out. Thanks, Tim

Hi All, I've got a batch of the revised adapters done (as well as a pile of the old style) and I am doing the final fitting on them. Then they will go out to anodizer. Everytime I say "1 week" it hasn't happened because of changes or other delays at the shop on other things. I've been working on these for a long time and I want to make sure they are as right at possible out of the gate and I think we are there. As far as the batch of old style, my plan is to modify them with steel feed ramps. Updates: We have done a couple barrels with gas blocks and tubes and just got some new tooling in to ramp up production on those. I will get pricing and availability posted after the batch of adapters go to anodizer. Reamers we currently have are 762x25, 9mm, 45 acp, 7TCU, and a couple oddballs we've made. The BS (Big Surpise that is) This is on the back burner, but the drawings and prototype has been started and is absolutly doable. 9mm: We took one of our adapters, added an ejector and a modified Tok Mag, and ran it in our 9mm RRA blow back upper. Now we are testing the modified mag in our Tok uppers to check function, reliability, etc. What we also did is take an UZI mag and a CProducts mag, and put them in a modified Tok Mag adapter. I will test them for function this afternoon and report back. When we get both styles of mags to work in 1 adapter reliably, then we are going to have something. And thats not even the BS! 9mm DI: Will start working on this one after the batch of adapters go out to anodizer. Other calibers, mag adapters, and parts: Development takes time and costs money. There are a lot of talented people out there doing some amazing things. We are getting questions and wish lists at an increasing rate, but the reality is I need to stay in business so I can provide these services. One of our competitors just put in a multi-million dollar machining center which solidified their place in that market. We have seen this coming and that's why we are working hard to provide you with the specialty items you are asking for. This is my real job, this is not my hobby that I do on the side. The work I do determines if we eat, and being in Michigan, it has not been a buffet for the last few years. My desk is littered with people who have spent a lot of money and invested in equipment to make parts, just to see it all go on the auction block. The Tok Mag Adapter is a prime example, two years ago it was a "Hey this would be cool" and I worked on it in my not so spare time. Today, it is my #1 job and I appreciate your paitience. I am working hard to get these out as well as the new upgrades, and am very interested in hearing about your ideas. But like the man said, "Speed costs money, how fast do you want to go?" 4/8/09: Successfully ran an UZI mag in our adapter with a RRA 9mm blowback upper. Made some slight mods on our adapter to help locate the 9mm mags without altering the function and fit of the Tok Mags. More testing to follow. On a personal note, I lost 2 very dear friends over the last week. We just got back from one funeral and are going to help set up for the 2nd funeral today which will be held tomorrow. Life can change in an instant folks, are you ready? Thanks for your time, Tim Aberegg

Tim, I just joined. But have been looking into the 7.62x25 in an AR for about 12 years. Several people have said they would and could do it but no go. Funny thing is I never did it myself so can't complain. For those of you who both "can" and "do" thank you. I ordered one of the adapters Friday but forgot to mention it's for a blowback upper (all that Marty has now) so I need an ejector. Can this be done or should I wait for a gas system? Either way, spend the money and we'll get this work out soon enough.

Batch of adapters going out to anodizer, will try and get turnaround time from them.
I'll put together one of our blowback adapters for you and get it out. Ours is in the testing phase, but it does work.
Working on steel feed ramps for those of you wanting them.
Getting our barrel process down so will have info on them soon. Thanks, Tim

I held off on sending out group of mags to anodizer, we are checking an internal dimension that we modified to help with some of the mags that won't lock in place We also changed out some materials and spent some time on the blowback model and ejector system. All other jobs are on hold until these get out to you guys. Thanks for your patience.

Do you have an updated wait time on mags and adapters?
