Hi, I am new to the forum and have a question but first a little info. I have contacted Alliant about reload information using their BE 86 powder for 7.62x25 Tokarev reloads using Hornady 90gr XTP. Alliant stated they would not be working up any loads because the Tokarev is not a SAAMI cartridge. I have also contacted Hornady and they state the same. I no it is not a good idea to get reload recipes off the internet, for safety reasons if no other, but I can use this same powder in several calibers that I own and therefore saving me money on powders I stock. Has anyone tried Alliant BE 86 to work up reloads for the Tokarev? At present I use aa7 for my reloads with good results. Thanks for your help.

I have not used BE 86, so I am of no help. Have you tried ammoguide.com? It has a large database of loads, highly recommended.

?, I've been a member for a long time, I don't know. I looked up Quick Load, do you mean Alliant Bullseye Powder? That's awful fast, but if you just want to plink. I would start at 4 gr and you will probably top out at 5gr.

Do I need to have a payed membership to access load data at this site? To get anything useful, yes. It's not much of a cost considering what you get for it.
