I've had a lot if fun shooting all sorts of loads in a short gas system barrel I got from Tim a long time ago. I stuck a Flash Can on the front instead of a brake to see if it would cut down on the amount of noise that the people beside me at the range (and myself) would hear but due to the two little gas ports on the carrier the noise I hear is still pretty loud. That's a 16" barrel with a rifle length Magpul handguard. These are some of the rounds that I've tried and I can use a standard AR magazine for these although it's only a ten rounder. These are just a few of the rounds I've tried. The bullet on the left is 155gr and the one on the right is 110gr. I plan on maybe trying some pulled GI bullets to see how they work. I've been using reformed .223 brass which requires a bit of work but I wanted to save my Starline and S&B 7.62X25 brass for other projects. Accuracy has been very good but I did not shoot through my Chrony so I don't have any idea as to their velocity. I also do the standard 65gr to 68gr bullets and use the PPS-43 magazine but these heavy bullets have been more fun.
