I love the 22 Reed Express and have shot it for years in a 16" barreled carbine but I would love to see how well the 22 TCM does. The bolt face doesn't need to be modified and I'll almost bet the cartridges with a 40gr V-max will fit and feed from the PPS magazine. I believe, at one time, you had done some 10 round PPS mags for places like Kalifornia and I would imagine the little round would make a nice varmint rifle with maybe something like a 20" barrel and the short magazines. Any chance of you doing a 22 TCM? The brass can be had already formed and headstamped either 22 TCM or a cheaper version made from .223 brass and a mixture of headstamps. The 22 TCM bullets can be gotten pretty cheap but I would go with more standard brand names for the bullets.

I've thinking about the 22 TCM for some time and I already have a nice 22RE carbine and the little cartridge shoots great. My only problem is the magazines and the fact the bolt face needs to be opened. I've tried the 22RE in the PPS mag and it just did not like it -- might be because it was a PPS mag setup for shooting the 7.62X25 Tok round but I tried the 22TCM in the same magazine setup with the PPS mags and it seemed to feed just fine hand cycling. I figured those that had existing 7.62X25 setups could just do a barrel switch which would include the longer (pistol length) gas system. The slight difference in the bolt face would really not be a problem. I know it sounds so simple -- I contacted PTG about a 22TCM reamer and it would take like 6 weeks minimum to make the piloted reamer. The reloading dies right now are made by Hornady and cost like $100 so the price of things keeps mounting up.

I'll check with Dave about a reamer, but no promises on time frame
