The 30 Carbine 16" is a solid 1800 fps carbine round with the 110gr JRN bullets. It will drop about 100-150 fps depending on powder type. As fate would have it, I have one on the bench for testing our new M1 Carbine magazine so I'll update this with 10" barrel info after testing.

Had the 10" 30 Carbine set up done for a while but really been running it more with the new mag testing. Still tuning the load / gas system so stay tuned for what we end up with!

Loaded up the rest of the 100 gr SJ bullets over 15.4gr of H110. Function was good in the M1 and AR. Weather still warm, but starting to cool off a bit, much nicer in the loading room!

Worked on the M1 Carbine / 357 Mag set ups this weekend after cutting some parts on the newly relocated shop! With the smaller dia of the 30 Carbine getting the follower stack spacing right created a bit of a feed issue. I also need to get my 1.69" oal lengths tweaked a bit. Other than that, mags held 14 rounds of 30 carbine. Will make some adjustments and test with 357 side by side next.

Sold my last 30 Carbine upper last month so spun up another one last week and getting it finished up. Going to put it through its paces with our new mags and hopefully get a couple on the shelf!

Got the new upper together and ran some factory loads for function testing. Found by can of brass and will work on getting some reloads together to run more mag tests.

Running the factory round nose keeps the OAL down to the 1.69" and built a magazine for that. Loading up the 110gr pointy bullets puts us past that and I just use a std 350 L mag. Rounds are a bit loose, but work for a few loaded in there. If there is enough demand for a longer M1 mag we'll take a look at it in the future.
First round of testing from 16" barrel got us about 1850 fps. I think I can add another gr of powder.
