Don't know if any of you follow the whisper/blkout trends or even care about them, but I have thought of loading Subs in the 7.62x25 (as did J.D Jones) as kinda a micro whisper and have looked for long heavy projectiles. Well here is a Cruise missle of a bullet developed by the Guys over on Castboolits forum just for the whisper.... its a 247grain, cast, Bore rider of perfect crimp length for magazine fed whispers, May or may not work a Tok but I plan to try it! My mold is coming with plain base and Gas checks options as well as a hollow point.

+1 for castboolits Great site! Cast bullets are the perfect answer for sub work, in my humble and budget minded opinion. With the price of 240 SMK's those nice looking cast boolits look like a dream come true. I had to throat my Tok brl to take the Lee 180's.

1:8 for the subs, some guys shooting them slowly out of an -06 with 1:10, just now showing up after the group buy, so no real reports on if they are working or not.

I pm'd the guy to see what he had available. These things are begging for Tok cases..

post one in the thread lists whats in stock ;-) also one guy in another thread is having minor instability issues but we are not sure if it is twist, over stabilized ( all the out of rounds are the same direction?) or being transonic, seems like no one has gotten to fire more than like 10 15 rounds of this stuff at time yet. everyone is so excited just to go shoot some .. there has been no real wringing out of them yet. My mold went out yesterday, and if you "miss out" or choose to wait and see, I could certainly share some of mine for you (or other member here ) to try. I know I am excited.... Dang postal service needs some SR71 cargo planes.

I saw you were over there, I hope I have not steered you wrong, only one guy seems to be doing any shooting with them and he aint saying what kind of groupings he is getting a couple other people have fired a handful and no one has worked up a good load yet. I hope it turns out as good as has the potential to.

Been a member over there for a while, just have been busy lately. Like I said, for the price of SMK's, I would try those boolits in a heartbeat. (Plus the fact I have a few lbs of pb ;D )

HAH! just cleaned my mold out and have it heat cycling as we Speak ! 4 cav .... 2 Plain Base, 2 Gas Check,
one of the Gas checked is Hollow point. Hope to cast some this weekend, unfortunately only thing I have to shoot them in is a 300 Win Mag. I am going to send a box of them to a friend with a 300 fireball on an AR platform. hoping this will be my inspiration to get me a ToK running...... though wit the price an availability of ToK ammo going up I am kinda thinking on chambering a little deep and doing like a 30 neck up on a 256 rimless, just to be contrary.

From a 4 cav mold you get 2 flat base, 1 gc, and 1 gc hp..... how freakin cool is that. I'm sure you are going to have lots of friends volunteering their cases Just got confirmation my simple 2 cav is on order

BLEH as per my usual impulsive self I found my Lee lead pot, but forgot that years ago the last time I used it I got it gunked up so took the valve out. I found the valve but not the handle and said screw I can wear gloves and get er done. Long story short valve is still gunky ( slow) and them long bullets need a lot of lead, make a few wrinkle messes, then ended up melting them all back into ingots this morning, but could not find my ladle either so did not even attempt to pour any bullets ( well not for the .308 anyway , I did hand pour some for the 45, nice looking 330 grain that functions in both my lever gun and my 6 banger, unlike the Wide Flat nose 300's I had been making )
