Been doing double duty on the 30 Carbine and 357 AMAG magazine set up. Worked on a new set up today along with the 22 TCM and hope to have things set for geometry tomorrow. Also worked up a mag set up for the 357 AMAX and that is just a simple mod to stock mags, so we can have those available for the AMAX upper set ups.

Just finished the updated M1 set up and will bring a 30 carbine upper with on this trip so we can test the 30 Carbine, 357 AMAG, and long 22 TCM. Did a 1:8 twist TCM to see how it does with 62-75gr bullets also...

Loaded up a can full of 30 Carbine this weekend and ran through function testing with my Universal and AR carbines. Got a few failures to fully ejected the fired cases in both firearms so going to clean them both up, check things over and maybe bump up the powder charge a bit. Did some fine tuning on the mag set ups so we are getting closer. Not having enough time at the shop is not helping..... On a side note, the Ruger Blackhawk ate everything like candy!

Worked on some followers and trying to work with the spring selections I have. Going to try another one when I'm back. Last test session with my sub rounds didn't work too well so will bring it all back and see if we can get this put to rest.....

Working on the latest M1 Size magazine and just tested with 22TCM -60 gr Hornady at 1.550" oal. The stock throat is too short to max out case capacity, so we'll work on that later. The Stock 40gr is on the right at 1.28". I have some new followers on the mill so hope to have them done in a couple of hours. This test I had one nose up jam on the left side as the case mouth hit the ramp. Hopefully the geometry will be solved by the time my new mag bodies get here.

Got three different followers made and working on spring size and geometry trying to use stock parts. Making progress, but not happy yet.

Worked on setting up the old Acroloc to bevel and cut the feed ramps so hope to have that tested Friday after Thanksgiving. (I did get the wheel bearing replaced in the Case 1845 tho!) For being easy parts, they are just multiple set ups so matter how you look at it, so trying to minimize jigs and tooling....

Spent way too much time making parts for the pre-production run. According to the bean counter we need to get $125 ea for these mags. Outrageous...... I don't know who would be more foolish, someone that paid $125 for a mag, or the person that would actually make one! Now, having said all that, our Tok and M1 adapter set ups are $200 for the adapter and one mag. From that perspective, $125 is saving $75! SO, step right up, hurry hurry hurry, save $75 per mag! I've run some production numbers and if we get the orders, we can get the M1 mags to $49.95, high, but reasonable for the work that goes into them and cheap compared with the adapter set up. The Tok length mags are a bit different. I'm looking at tooling up differently for those, which would get the price down to 29.95, but I would have to sell 10,000 of them to get a payback. We'll see what the patent paperwork says if we have anything worth protecting here..... its only $10k right....

Will the mags feed factory TCM and 9r ammo? Any updated pics? Capacity options?I’ve got a few of the Tok mags, but really like the idea of not needing an adapter. Considering what other proprietary mags go for (I.e. Franklin Armory F17), your right in that ball park, but even ahead of the game if you get them at $49.95. I consider this a great deal.

Assembled a few mags and follower geometry still needs work for the long TCM's. Between the case body taper, follower, spring, and mag body construction, getting things to sync up is pretty slow. It doesn't help I don't have my shop full of tools to take .010" off this, or put 2 Degs on that......

Merry Christmas Everyone Did some testing over the weekend in 22 TCM and 357 AMAG. The 357 (and M1 Carbine) are both well suited to the new mag set up. The case body fills the mag follower are and feeds well. The 22 TCM on the other hand with its short tapered body and neck bullet area don't set as well in the mag. It definitely needs a filler area around the bullet area to take up some space and that means a new set up and more work. They do work, to a point, but not where I would sell one to someone. I'll have to think on this one a bit.

Modified my followers and ramps a bit in the beta mags. The smaller dia 30 Carbine creates a slight spacing issue so we'll have to work on that so we don't have to do a 30 Carbine and 357 set of mags hopefully to keep parts count down. Nice to have the small shop moved!
