Have a custom job we have been working on, a Tok blow back for a non Colt Style system. Tested last night and going to see if we can adjust our blow back adapter to work with the carrier and use Pps-43 mags instead of the Stens and spring ejector.

All good! This Tok barreled Oly upper could be a great cal. conversion for the Oly AR platform with low cost ammo. By Sat 4-23-11 I'll have threaded the muzzel 1/2-28 and assembeled the upper. Sun I plan to have 70rds. test fired to work any bugs out. After test fireing I will record 980rds for any breakages, ftfeed, ftfire, and fteject over the next month. I'll post round count and stopages. May be post some pics. if time allows. Thanks again HEAVYMETAL Tim bradleybuilt

Threaded the barrel and assembeled the upper today. Put the upper to the test in the rain. I ran 2 mags of 20rds. and had 3 FTfire. Im not happy with that. The primers were hit pretty hard with the Oly firing pin. I think its a polish surplus ammo related problem. So I stoped at the 40rd. mark to install a 7.62x39 Model 1 Sales firing pin. I think that will take care of the ftfire issue. Fired 4 more mags of 25rds. without any problems. A total of 140rds fired. When the rain leaves I'll try to break out the camera and try to post some pics. and video. Rain or shine tomarrow, I will install a scope and put some more rounds down range and get a good idea of its MOA at 50, 100, and 200 yrds.

I've had more FTF/primer strike issues with the Polish than any other. Modified Sten mag? Where did you get your mag?

Yup, moded sten mags. Just cut out the ribed back of the mag and weld in a flat back. I'm in the garage right now moding two more. as of now all I have is one, and man are my fingers sore from loading. The sten mags have all ways been a b#!@h to load even with a mag loader. I did find it alot easier to load by removing the floor plate and spring leaving the follower in and load 25rds. upside down then install the spring and floor plate. I want to make it to the range today but its closed till 6 tonight. I still want to make it out and shoot but the sun will be in my eyes.

Got out to the range to shoot yesterday, but didnt get to the 200yd range is closed to the public now. I shot 280rds at 50yds and averaged a 2.5" and 140rds at 100yds at about 6" group. I was shooting off hand and I am no top shot. I'm happy with that since its Polish surplus. Now as far as function went, there was not one stopage till after 240rds.

Sorry I'm baby sitting and had to cut last post short. As I was saying I started to get ftfeeds after 240rds. Had 3 ftfeeds within two mags, so I decieded to stop and see what was the deal. I took the rifle apart and found it was just VERY dirty. I noticed the bolt was hanging up and so were the rounds in the mags. It felt like the bolt and mags had sand in them. I had some WD-40 in the rang bag and I hosed them down. That worked till around the 350rd to 380rd mark then I had 2 more ftfeeds and 2 short strokes. hosed it down again and finished off the rest of my ammo. All the failures were cause of lack of cleaning. Will never let the round count go above 210 before a good cleaning. Took some pics of the dirty gun and mag mods, but I own a $90 digi. camera and the pics stink. I'll still try to post them today.
Total round count 560rds fired, 5 ftfeed, 3 ftfire, 2 short strokes

I also wanted to say the ftfires are gone since I installed the 7.62x39 firing pin. Havent had one since the first 40 rounds. I'm hopeing all the ftfeeds and short strokes go away if I keep it clean.
