Have not been around for a bit, between back issues, holidays, then my knee...........
Tim!!!!! Dude, I am liking this new adaptor I got from you.
The adaptor I originally got from tim was the Tok Mag Adapter Flush Mount (Part Number: TMAF). worked good and I have been happy with it. Well, not long ago, Tim sent me a Tok Mag Adapter Left Hand release (Part Number: TMAL). I finally was able to get into the shop to dive into it. I have found that (as I already knew from the Flush adaptor), not all mags are the same
so what I liked about this adaptor was the ability to take it apart. this allowed me a good visual inspection of each mag as I slid it into each side of the adaptor. I could easily see where I need to sand/dremel on each mag to get it to work. out of the six mags I have working for it: 2 needed the rear mag catch tab filed down as it protruded to much. one mag rubbed on the rear left side (when looking at it from the back), this mag also was one of the 2 that need the tab filed down. 4 were good to go. I have 4 others that will need fitting.
Just doing some mag changes here at home, I like this adaptor. hmmmm, wonder if I can sneak out to the desert today for some plinking? Dying to put this adaptor through the paces.....
My one worry, and I'll have to go grab a modified mag and check, but my guess is if the mag has already been modified for the mag catch, it is going to hang up in the TMAL adaptor.....luckily, I have quite a few of these mags, so will also end up with enough for this adaptor.
