Here's a pic of my AR15 registered SBR upper. I'm using a Ron Williams custom barrel, Del-Ton upper, Daniel Defense gas block and a Daniel Defense 9.0 OMEGA rail.

Did Ron Williams build the upper for you or just make the barrel.

He made the barrel, gas tube and opened up the bolt. I assembled it myself.

How do you headspace and install the barrel extension.

My method my not be your method. Free advice is worth what you pay for it. The depth and quality of your thread is going to vary depending on a lot of things. The .805" dia was suggested to us and thats where we started. The class of fit depends on this starting point being right so feel free to measure your extension and do your own calculations. 1. After your chamber end is finished to length, turn down your blank to 1.00" dia. at the chamber end. 2. Turn down the chamber end to .805" dia for a length of .624" 3. Thread for the extension 16 TPI. Check for extension fit and clean up the leading and trailing threads. I also polish the breech end of the barrel at this time. 4. Thread and torque the extension on and check for bolt fit and play. Make adjustments as required. 5. Chamber the barrel. 6. Measure your extension pin and drill your pin hole for a press fit. Don't go too deep. To head space we chamber to a pre-determined depth then start checking with the go gauge and a special depth mike set up. I say you can hit it right by chambering off an indicator reading, but Bro says you have to take the final thou by hand, Bench Rest Guys....what are you going to do I'll get pics of our first Tok barrel when we finish it hopefully today. Chambered and headspaced. Pics taken but have some other things to do. Maybe tomorrow If you haven't been to Randall Rausch's site ar15barrels dot com check it out.

Hi all, I have been following this for a while and have always thought this was a good idea. It took Tim's thread on AR15.com to light a fire under my butt and get moving. I'm building a blow back gun using a re-chambered .308 barrel and a standard 9mm AR bolt. I got the the barrel back today and plan on test firing it tomorrow. I was just curious why everyone is building gas guns. Is there something I don't know and should?
Thanks, Chris

Thanks, Chris My impression is that the 7.62x25 has considerably more "oomph" than a garden variety 9mm, and it would stress BB actions excessively, or require an even heavier carrier.

Sent Strycnine a couple pics of our barrel, gasblock, and gas tube set up. I'll post test results when I get back. Tested our Tok upper for feeding, gas block operation and cycling. 10 gr of AA#9 w/110gr SP locked action back. Tried the Bulgarian surplus ammo and it cycled and fed just fine. Borrowed the scope off the 6.8SPC and threw 5 rounds at 25 yds. Started raining hard so didn't try 50 or 100. Definately need to change stocks, entry unit and rifle scope don't match very well. Modified adapter feed ramps are in production, hopefully out to anodizer this week.

Just got 2 complete upper receivers in. We are going to open up the bolts for the TOk and as soon as I get extensions in, we will put 2 Tok uppers together and offer barrels along with the mags and adapters.

What we are going to do is have basically a by item price. You pay for what you get from us and pick and choose what you want. For the Tok barrels we are working on a base price for the profiling, chambering, gas block, and gas tube. There will be an add on for the blank whether you choose an $80 Adams & Bennett, or a $250 Krieger, and an add on for finish such as parkerize or painted. If you want a completed upper, it will be an add on for each item you want. Parts are hit and miss as we all know and we are getting parts from various manufacturers so if you want something we don't have you could either send the parts to us or pay us to buy them. My top priority right now is getting the adapters out and we have one small change to make on the bases and the batch is going to the anodizer. email me with specific questions or specs and I'll work on it for you. Thanks, Tim
