List your bullet diameters from your surplus ammo here if you would. We just got some SKS blanks in to try them out, they are 1:9.5 twist and the bores are around .3095 vs the .308 blanks we've been using. Been getting some calls from people who know people who read about surplus not chambering because the bullet dia is too big. I measured some Romainian and Polish in the case just above the neck: Romainian = .3055 dia Polish = .3055" dia I'll pull some of these when I get home and see what the bases measure. I have been using .308 blanks for 2 years and have had to push 1 chamber forward because of a chambering issue. Thanks for the help. Tim

I can't shoot Romainian because of this problem. The Polish runs fine.

Hey Strycnine, you can't run Romainian? Have you measured any difference between Pol and Rom? I started with the Rom 2yrs ago and everything else has worked so far. I'll see if I can take some measuremens.....

Romainian dia's: .307" OAL 1.368" , case = .971" (ranged from .961 - .975)
Polish dia: .3065" , OAL = 1.373", case = .979"
Starline brass: .962"
Listed case "spec(s)" from various sources: .974" - .988"
I've got one more case, Bulg, IIRC, unopened to check.
Pulled some bullets last night and check dia. Have yet to find one over .308.
