Taking the Match gun down to Holton for the Bench Rest Nationals this weekend. Trying out the new Hogan drop in trigger that we got from Love2Shoot. Very nice trigger and can't wait to put it in action. I really like anything 6mm so I hope all goes well. You going to take some pics of the rifles there and also show us what the match gun can do on paper?

That was the plan, compare the 2 guns side by side. Problem is... Bro went and bought a new Harley..... so instead of load development he's out cruising.... and I can't believe I am typing this but..... I don't take the extra time to shoot We have 4 new projects on the bench and keeping them moving forward is cutting into trigger time. Installed the Hogan trigger today and its on its way to the match. I hope to cut out early on Sat and see it in action. Pics to follow....

6PPC was a No Go this weekend. We think Bro grabbed the wrong ammo and it would not chamber. Either had rounds for the Shooter with the fat necks or the shoulders needed to be pushed back a bit. He didn't want to change his die set ups so we just let it set. Met a lot of great people and had the opportunity to shoot a new 6.5 PPC Light Varmit gun with a 2 oz. trigger, thanks Perry, and one of the Heavy Bench Rail Guns , Thanks Harley The IBS Nationals are going on this week and if you are close to Holton MI, the best of the best are there and it is something to see.

Looked at the score sheet yesterday 10 rounds @100 yds = .217" 10 rounds @200 yds = . 347" Smallest group so far was like a .140 something. OK, how can a 6mm bullet make a .140" hole?

Cleaned up the Shooter and ran a few rounds of 85gr HPBT with 25.1 gr of H335. Got some horizontal stringing so need to check into that. One thing I do know is that going from a Weaver T-6 with super fine cross hairs to a Burris Ballistic Plex didn't help matters!

Ran two loads through the 6PPC Sunday, 25gr of H322 w/Sierra 85gr HPBT, and 27gr of 133 w/ custom Cheek 62gr HP. That's the 85gr Sierra load. Once I got close on the scope I shot the 62gr HP on the right, made a scope adj and shot the group on the right. I was shooting over my gun case out the the back of my truck with no rear bag and got my typical vertical stringing. Once I get a bench set up with the chrono station, we'll see what these things will do. Loads were pretty light as neither one would cycle the action

Took the Match barrel and profiled it for a gas system today. Have it set for a rifle port right now and will look through my notes and see if I want to change it to a Mid Length. The Shooter doesn't lock the action back with the two loads Bro made up. Edit: I see in an earlier post I felt the Shooter was over gassed and had a .109" gas port. So we definitely have some lighter loads here so there is still hope.
