In short, no I have three of them running and trying to get the last revision done to the drawings to get my pre-production blocks done. Good news is work slowed down a bit and have been catching up. Bad news is the 22's have been eating up the majority of my time....

Back at the shop and updating drawings for the next gen piston set up. Ran the crap out of the 9mm down south and the piston would handle everything except the Slide Fire stock, it just could not keep up. I've modified things a bit and have a new barrel blank in the lathe for the next set up. Plus, I just got a deal on 1000 115gr JRN's

Working on the Gen4 set up and will chamber the barrel this morning. Have the piston bodies machined and will start the mounting and test operations. Still working on the total package and of course all the "spider web" thoughts that spring up along the way.... Just trying to squeeze one more change into this thing.....

Too bad the popularity of the 7.62X25 Tok has kinda dropped since the price of milsurp ammo went way up. The Tok round works really nice with a piston setup. My only piston kit was on a 22 Reed Express carbine and it was nice (an Adams Arms pistol length piston setup) but I needed some cash so I sold it and went back to DI. If you have an extra piston kit you should try one on a Tok carbine. One fellow was shooting subs with a suppressor and all you could hear was the mechanical stuff clicking.

what's the system length and can you let me know what the piston system for 7.62X25 would run. Right now I'm looking at a Syrac Ordanance pistol length system but an even shorter one would be nice.

I've run stock OEM piston from cmmg at pistol length with reloads, surplus would not quite do it, had to shorten up port about .750", still longer than the DI. Just hang on a bit and I'll have ours done....

I hang on to see your setup. I didn't like the Adams arms too much and is one of the reasons I sold it.

Well, if you didn't like theirs, you're going to hate ours! Except that it works.....

I think my problem with the Adams Arms was it had a narrow band of loads that worked with my setup -- 22 Reed Express with pistol length gas system. Only three gas adjustments -- full on, suppressed and off. At full on I was kind of limited to how light I could go with the powder charge and that just didn't cut it for me. I didn't have a suppressor to boost back pressure so that was out. Maybe one of those Noveske flaming pig flash hiders might have worked or at least helped but that was another $125 and my original DI setup worked fine -- every time. I hope yours is better suited to working with differing loads. If it's a short system similar to your gas system it should be really cool.

I'm actually making Gen4 longer, and Gen5 longer still. Got them on the mill right now and the barrels are prepped... soon as I get these pesky tcms done..

I like shooting 7.62X25 but good 30 cal. bullets are kind of expensive compared to good 22 caliber bullets. I have not shot the 22 Reed Express in a long time because I've been having too much fun playing with the reduced loads in both 22 caliber and 30 caliber. I think the 22 TCM would be nice because it's made from an easy to find brass and I don't believe the formed cases need to be neck turned. I just don't know how easy it is to form the TCM cases from .223 brass although the already formed cases can be found on line. What ever you build I guess it has to be able to work with the commercially made ammo besides handloads.
