I had been in contact with a fellow in New Zealand that is a professional rabbit hunter. He wants to build an AR around the .17 Garin. I believe the cartridge is a proprietary cartridge but he must have access to the company for the chambering. The first problem is the bolt face -- can you make an AR bolt that actually fits the M1 Carbine round correctly? I know you said that the standard bolt face will work but it's a bit sloppy. He needs a bolt that works first class since he maintains private property and may fire 3000 to 4000 rounds a year at bunnies. The second item is the M1 Carbine magazine adapter -- it's not on your web site and he may want one. Do you have one working 100%? Do you or can you supply modified M1 Carbine mags to work in the AR? I gave the fellow your web site URL and the URL for this forum so I hope he feels he can contact you.

For custom bolts I would contact somebody like AR Performance or Yankee Hill Machine, or even Anderson Mfg and see if they could do a custom run for you. For the new M1 Mag set up we are working with a mag supplier for bodies and floor plates. We are making the internals and are getting our production dialed in. We have mags in the field doing beta testing and plan to do 50 Gen 1 mags in 5, 10, and 30 round capacities based on feedback. Timeframe...... ?

I thought at one time you were going to do modified bolts for the M1 carbine round. guess that's out the window. As you once told me -- the Standard AR bolt face is very close to being the right size for the M1 carbine rim. I think the only thing really necessary is adjusting the extractor to the thicker rim on the M1 carbine cartridge case.

How about the magazine adapter for the M1 carbine magazine. Is that up and running 100%?
