I picked up a barrel off EE back in '08 (yea, man time flies.....) and did a little playing with it and it shot pretty well. Then all the adapter stuff started to happen and, well, time flies. My son has that barrel now and I picked up another a while back so we just finished putting them both together. Loaded up some rounds with 110 and 115 gr bullets, H322 powder, and hope to do some testing tomomorrow.

Tested the 6.8 yesterday and results were ok with the exception of being under gassed. QL also over estimated results by at least 100 fps. Sierra 115gr hpbt and 27.7 gr of H322 gave us 2330 fps well under QL values. 110 gr VMax and 29.5 gr hit 2560 fps. A good point was that spreads reduced as we worked up loads with a few less than 20fps. We hit no sign of pressure so could be QL values are a bit off. We'll bump things up slowly n see what happens. Pulled the upper apart and check the gas block alignment which was ok. The mid length gas port was .078" so I opened that up to .095" and will use the adj gas block to adjust.

Fixed the under gassed issue and upper cycles fine. Dialed back the BTE adj gas block to get reliable operation. Cranked up the pressure slowly and shot our best group of about 1" with 28.4 gr of H322 avg 2461 fps with Sierra 115gr Hpbt. No sign of pressure so we'll turn up the heat some more.
